Guide to 1Password

We use ‣ to store, generate and share passwords and other sensitive data within the team.

It is installed automatically by ‣ when you first set up your Sequence laptop. If you're not set up yet, follow this link to join the Sequence account.

The Google Chrome extension makes it easy to use 1Password for forms and logins.

Password complexity

We use rules on password complexity in a few key places to safeguard accounts.

Two-factor authentication

We enforce two-factor authentication ("2FA") on services we use as a team wherever possible.

We recommended using Authy to set up 2FA - unlike Google Authenticator, Authy securely backs up your authentication codes so you don’t need to reset your authentication if you change or lose your phone.

Google 2FA

‣ (your @sequencehq.com login) requires 2FA. Google refer to this as 2-Step Verification.

When you set up your Google account, you will be taken through 2FA setup. You must use a QR code, rather than a text message, for extra security. The QR code can be scanned into 1password or an app like Authy which will generate a 6-digit 2FA code every 30 seconds.
