A warm referral is somebody you’ve already had contact with about a job at Sequence. You’ve spoken to them and they’re happy to be referred to Sequence for a particular role.

⚠️ If the candidate applies directly before you’ve referred them, let us know and we’ll add you as the referrer.
For candidates you’re not sure are suitable for an open role, but think Sequence should consider them, or if you come across a profile that looks great but don’t know them, share their LinkedIn profile in #talent-inbound-interest, and the Talent team can reach out to them.
This is useful if you also want to share more context, like a screenshot of the conversation you’ve had with someone about a role.
Q. What counts as a successful referral? A. Somebody you referred who joins the team full-time and passes their probationary period with Sequence.
Q. Who can refer? A. Anybody within the Sequence team can refer! Our investors and friends can also refer to us too.
Q. Who can’t refer? A. If you’re a hiring manager at Sequence and bringing someone into your team, it just counts as BAU hiring and not a referral. Ditto for Execs at Sequence (VP and above).
Q. How well do I need to know the person to refer them for this bonus? A. It needs to be a warm referral. This means somebody you’ve already had contact with about a job at Sequence. You’ve spoken to them and they’re happy to be referred to Sequence for a particular role. Cold referrals or speculative recommendations are not included.
